A note on the bill

I built CareClaim as software — a SCHADS and claims engine for small providers. Two years inside the price guide taught me the real problem isn't software, it's that nobody owns the outcome. So now I own it: I get providers registered and keep their claims paid, using the platform I built. Fixed fees, never hourly.

002 / PAIN

What we keep hearing from small providers.

A renewal audit every three years, a payments system that now wants evidence on every claim, and a policy folder nobody has opened since the last audit.

01

The renewal audit is looming.

Stage 1, Stage 2, auditor interviews — against Practice Standards that changed on 1 July. Somebody has to own the prep.

3-year cycle
02

Rejections nobody chases.

Short-paid remittances and bounced claim lines sitting unreconciled in a spreadsheet. That's revenue, leaking.

03

Evidence on every claim.

The new payments system cross-checks claims against service records, the plan and your registration. No evidence, no payment.

from July 2026
04

Policies that drifted.

The suite that passed in 2023 doesn't match the current standards — including the new SIL module. Auditors sample the gap.

004 / THE MATHS

One failed audit costs more than five years of prevention.

A failed audit or a rejected-claims backlog typically costs a provider $10,000–$50,000 — and from 1 December, claims older than 90 days can never be recovered. Registration readiness is $4,900–$8,000, fixed. Both problems are cheaper to prevent than to repair.

005 / SOFTWARE

Want to run it yourself?

CareClaim is also self-serve software — SCHADS payroll, rostering and claims for providers who'd rather operate their own back office. No public pricing while founding-client intake is open; ask on the call.

006 / FAQ
An independent approved quality auditor conducts it, and the NDIS Commission makes the registration decision. We make you ready and manage the process end to end — self-assessment, policies, evidence pack, audit days, findings close-out.
The auditor's fee is separate and paid to them — roughly $1,000–2,500 for verification or $4,000–10,000 for certification, depending on size and scope. We get quotes and put both numbers in front of you before you commit to anything.
Nobody honest guarantees a Commission decision. What we do is make the auditor's job boring: every standard mapped, every record where it should be, every prior finding closed.
No. Payroll processing for a fee is a BAS service under the Tax Agent Services Act, so we stay out of it. Our software can run SCHADS payroll self-serve, and we work alongside your bookkeeper or accountant.
We lodge your claims under delegated access, reconcile every remittance, chase every rejection, keep your policy suite current as rules change, and give your directors a one-page compliance snapshot each month.
That's fine — the engagement is fixed-fee with no lock-in, and the retainer cancels on 30 days' notice. Most clients stay because the new payments system makes every claim evidence-heavy.
